Welcome to my website

I live at Vaseux Lake in the Okanagan Valley which is just south of Penticton and I paint mostly contemporary landscapes.  I work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and encaustic.

I hope my paintings reflect the atmosphere and light and create a feeling for a viewer.  Having lived in Golden and having hiked in Yoho National Park including Lake O'hara,  I became aware of how light permeates and changes everything.  When painting plein aire, light changes constantly and it is surprising how quickly a scene can change.  Now living here in the Okanagan, I am still attracted to the out of the way, quiet and peaceful places.  I hope you enjoy visiting my website and it is not what I say about what or how I work,  but how you perceive it.  This quote says it better that I can:

“Believe only what an artist does, rather than what he says about his work”
David Hockney
